3 MINUTE WORLD
Fan Reviews

I must tell you that the arrangements to "3 Minute World" are so brilliant, that the disc has seeped through my consciousness, and meshed with my inner self.

My cousin, Jim, is a mailman, who has a 15 year old cat named 'Mittens' whom he injects with insulin everyday. Jim also used to go fishing with Melvin who died last year. Jim and I attended St. Mary's where the Angelus rang every noon. So you see, the experiences are similar.

Jim and I are crazy about Brian Wilson, and we saw him perform 'Pet Sounds' last year. At times your phrasing reminds me of Peter Gabriel, and once even Bowie (in 'Ball And Chain'). Jeff thinks McCartney is an influence. I don't know about that; but, what astounds me is that you haven't hit the charts in the US. You belong up there with the more known artists.

As for me, I can't keep from running to your gigs. There is something so purely spiritual about '3 Minute World' that I tell people, "It has to be the best thing that I have heard in the last 10 years!" And that is a sincere compliment.

That's it I think. I hope that you can tolerate my emersion into your sound. It's full of good vibrations.

From start to finish, its sheer pleasure!

Even though I have heard '3 Minute World' about a hundred times, each time I put it on its like hearing it for the first time; the poetic words and the wonderful strings fused with Pierces unmistakable vocals. 'Sunday', 'You Won't Mind' and 'Busy Man' are a wondrous listen they get better which each listen whilst 'Beyond the Blue' is a mellow tune with an upbeat tempo.

'Driving', one of two instrumentals on the album is haunting and gentile while the second instrumental 'The Clock' symbolizes the image of time passing. '3 minute world' the albums title is a glorious tune with the string accompaniment in elation and Ball and Chain from the Snakes and Ladders Movie is a more mainstream Turner and Fishinıs Just an Excuse and '1 Minute More' are gems!.

'Oh Ireland', is one of Turners' finest moments, an ode to Ireland and its wondrous mystery as it calls Irelands Prodigal son home again! 'Life in a day' and 'More' are classic Turner songs and the extra 'Shotgun' on the pre-released CD that many of Turners' fans may have coveted, ensure that the CD does not disappoint.

I have a suspicion that '3 Minute World' is THE album that Pierce Turner has always threatened to make. If it is it has without doubt been worth the wait! We have waited a while for a new masterpiece, this time Pierce has given us a whole lot more. Thank you Pierce, the pleasure is all ours. ;-)

Fantastic! My 3 Minute World CD arrived today and I've already played it three times. Many thanks for sending it so amazingly quickly. Great to hear 'final' versions of old live favorites. I know already that this is going to become one of my favorite albums of the year if not of all time!!

Well done, Pierce and I think the artwork on this album is the best yet. Wonderful design on the CD itself.

Truly excellent package all round ... but then, would I expect any different?

Today I received 3Minute World, is wonderful, a great work like the old masters from the sixties and seventies but with a new sound full of originality. Beyond the Blue is the greatest "bolero" made after And I Love Her.
