This proved to be the most difficult of all Pierce's albums to get into, mainly because there were several instrumentals and I love to hear his voice and his melodies but the extremely popular live hit Big Big Bruise translates very well into the studio here.
Even though I don't play it half as much as the others, there is still sheer beauty here, especially in Divinity and Steven's Preparing to Leave.
I still can't help but give it five stars because I genuinely feel that everything Pierce does deserves 10 out of 5 at least. What a talent and what a brave, honest album to make. If you want commercial, instantly accessible music that requires no brain power, you won't like this. Otherwise, pick up a copy now!!
